Mohammed Shami Fitness Update IPL 2021




In the Indian Premier League 2021 starting on the 9th of April, Punjab Kings coach Anil kumble assured that Mohammed Shami is on his way back to the game and set to play for the franchise. On the third day of the first test in Australia in Adelaide Mohammed Shami ruptured his forearm. Shami was forced to return home when was hit by Tat Cummins dispatch.

Shami was not believed to be match-fit for the England four-Test series that India won 3-1 before the England series, Although the fracture was hoped to heal in under four to six weeks. Shami at the National Cricket Academy has been bowling for the past week or so and has been working to recover match fitness. It has been said that Shami, In IPL 2020 who picked 20 wickets in 14 matches. Shami will have to undergo a week-long quarantine ahead of the IPL 2021.since the right-arm pace bowler was out of the bio-secure environment during his recovery period.

Anil Kumble said that Mohammed Shami is better now and Shami is coming to the bio-bubble for the quarantine and after a few days he will be out. Shami hasn’t played any matches since he got his injury but he is good to go. The whole team of Delhi capital is looking forward to seeing him getting ready for the first game and then playing a few practice games.

In IPL 2021 auction Punjab Kings team has an exciting team line-up as they had hitch Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson. They also have hitch all rounder Moises Henriques in the auction and retain her players like Darshan Nalkande, Arsdeep Singh, Ishan Porel and Chris Jordan. Anil Kumble added that they wanted to have a squad which gives options in case they want to rotate few of their fast bowlers because even the young pacers are exciting as it is a fairly long tournament and the condition will be pretty hot. Kumble also confirmed that ahead of Prabjsimran Singh and Nicholas Pooran, KL Rahul will be their first choice Wicket-keeper as KL Rahul did a great job last year so he will be starting as a wicket-keeper and than they will take a call.


On 12th of April Punjab Kings will open their Indian Premier League 2021 battle against Rajasthan Royals.
